Reinforced Polypropylene Fencing
The three professional grades of reinforced plastic fencing offered below are commonly used by professional deer fence installers. Their strands, flatter and very slightly more visible than those of comparable Tenax products, are reinforced by an extra strand of polypropylene along the bottom. Their expected life-spans, comparable to those of the Tenax products, are up to 10 years for Heavy Duty (HD), 10+ years for Extra Strength (ES), and sometimes longer (up to 15 years) for Maximum Strength (M).
Other features: Color – black; mesh size – 1.75 x 2 inches; maximum height and length variation per roll – 5%.
Still more features of this plastic fencing: Visibility: very low for HD and ES, low for M. Tested breaking strength: 650+ pounds for HD, 750+ pounds for ES, and 950+ pounds for M. Grams of polypropylene per meter: 80 g/m for HD, 110 g/m for ES, and 150 g/m for M.
Recommended uses: HD – Short deer exclusion fences (less than 500 feet), low deer pressure; ES – fences less than 1,000 feet long, less than extreme deer pressure; M – Fences with extreme deer pressure where metal hexagrid or welded wire deer fencing is unsuitable.
