Fence Rolls

We offer several kinds of deer fencing: Metal hexagrid, polypropylene, and welded wire fencing. Compared to poly fencing, metal hexagrid and welded wire offer twice the life, lower maintenance, and better looks — but they are also more expensive. The welded wire fencing is stronger than our metal hexagrid fencing and runs straighter, but is more visible, more expensive, and less able to cope with grade changes.

Our plastic deer fencing comes in three grades called “Heavy Duty Reinforced,” “Extra Strength Reinforced,” and “Maximum Strength Reinforced.” These three progressively stronger grades have breaking strengths of 650, 750, and 950 pounds per foot.

Our metal hexagrid deer fencing comes in widths ranging from 2 to 7.5 feet and in lengths of 100 or 150 feet. It is made of sturdy 20-gauge steel with a 1-inch hexagonal mesh that is galvanized and coated with a UV-resistant black pvc. It has an expected life of 20+ years.

Our welded wire fencing is a proven tool for containing or excluding many animals. We offer five mesh sizes. The main ones used for deer fences have 1 x 1-inch or 2 x 2-inch mesh sizes. The larger 2 x 4-inch mesh size is used occasionally for deer but more commonly to deal with elk. The smaller (half-inch and quarter-inch) mesh sizes are used mainly to keep out small animals (moles, voles, snakes, etc.) All of this welded wire fencing has an expected life of over 20 years.
