Fence Rolls
We offer several kinds of deer fencing: Metal hexagrid fencing (the best), reinforced plastic (polypropylene), round-strand plastic, and welded wire. Compared to poly fencing, metal hexagrid offers twice the life, lower maintenance, and better looks — but is more expensive. The welded wire fencing is even stronger than our metal hexagrid fencing but more visible, more expensive, and less able to cope with grade changes.
Our metal hexagrid deer fencing comes in widths ranging from 2 to 8 feet and in lengths of 100 or 150 feet. It is made of sturdy 20-gauge steel with a 1-inch hexagonal mesh that is galvanized and coated with a UV-resistant black pvc.
We offer two types of plastic deer fencing. One is made by Tenax, the traditional maker of this material, and comes in three progressively stronger grades: “C-flex Select,” “C-flex Premium,” and “C-flex Pro.” The other type of plastic fencing, which has emerged more recently, comes in three grades comparable to the Tenax grades. These are called “Heavy Duty Reinforced,” “Extra Strength Reinforced,” and “Maximum Strength Reinforced.” In both cases the three progressively stronger grades have breaking strengths of 650, 750, and 950 pounds per foot.
Welded wire fencing is a proven tool for containing or excluding large animals. The rolls we offer consist of a rectangular mesh of 14-gauge galvanized steel wires coated with black pvc that has an expected life of over 20 years.
